OK, I rented DONNIE DARKO today. I liked the movie until the ending. The ending insults my intelligence. S DONNIE DARKO is a sci-fi movie diguised as a pychological thriller. Donnie is a trouble teen who starts communicating with a guy in a bunny suit from the future. There gets to be talk about time travel in the movie. What really pisses me off is the ending. I'll rewind and say what events started things. Donnie wanders out of his bedroom one night and an airplane engine drops out of the sky onto his bedroom. In the end, he goes back to that moment and the engine falls on him and kills him. I juast don't buy it. Donnie going back in time displaces energy which means the engine might be displaced a little bit and it would NOT fall onto the same spot. And to make things worse, the people who were on the plane 28 days into the future might not be the same people on the plane so that means more energy is changed. So the plane engine would fall somewhere else like on another part opf the house or somewhere else entirely. Time travel displaces energy and it changes the energy flow to everything else. I subscribe to this theory because it makes sense and this is the same thing illustrated in the TV show 7 DAYS. I wish teh writer and director of the movie would have been more daringa nd took the ending on some weird tanget. I hate the ending where everything is undone. What's the point?! It just insults my intelligence. This endin g ahs been done so many times it is so cliche. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. Be Seeing You, ------------------
