"So where did you want to start?"

"I was assigned to work with a Khan Rhysade, but apparently that's not to be so. My other option, it seems, is to confer with you. We're to be working on the military training." He held up a few flexis.

"Well, I don't know if you knew this, but I'm only the Co-Minister of Education, and of this moment, Robert and I haven't had a chance to discuss the military aspects of a program yet. After I get through talking to him, though, I'm sure I could get back to you on any information you might need."

OOC: Is that what you were looking for Ani?

He ducked out of view before either she or Ani saw him, and leaned up against the wall, intent on waiting for Senar to emerge from the garden, figuring it best to mend any fences he may have inadvertantly broken between himself and Senar.

"It is just Tyco, no mister. "

A moment of silence.

"I hear that the pride has a job opening for a secuity 'specialist'. What shall be the role of this 'specialist'...position? "

"Very well. I forget how well you observe. I see no reason why you can not work with Rishi, as long as you remain descreet. As for my chosing Rishi, well I am not sure. If I do, I will go through you, BUT, you must keep it to yourself. There are circumstances which work better now if not everyone is in the know."

She patted Ani's arm.

"Meet me for dinner, I have some business to attend to now."

On that Senar left the garden, heading to the palace.

"Excuse me, but have we met?" he said with some good humour to the tone of his voice.

"Your names.... Senar, right?" he said, moving around her, a bit of a goofy smile on his face.

"Oh come on, can't I be friendly in public once in a while?"

"Of course we can be friendly in public. You are my cook, people would expect that we speak from time to time."

She walked in step with Rishi.

"What can I help you with?"

"And making sure I haven't overstepped my bounds in talking with Anastashia. The woman is quite a bit more formidable than I first took her for." He looked up and around, scannign the crowds out of habit.

"Yes, our Ani is quite interesting. Her and I occationally butt heads, but that is why I chose her for the job."

They walked in silence for a while. Something changed, though Senar was unsure of what.

"Is that all you wanted? Just to see how I was? As you can see, I am fine."

Rishi looked into her eyes for a moment, seeing what he had seen everytime before. Everything he thought the ideal mate would be when he found her.

"I suppose I'm becoming the typical "posessive male"," he said almost ruefully.

"I guess when I find a good thing, I don't want to let it go."

"First, I have learned that there is no such as a "typical male". Secondly, I would hardly call you possesive."

They reached the palace.

"So do we part ways or do you want to continue this conversation?"

Rishi sighed. "Perhaps its best if we part ways for the moment. I'm free for that evening whenever you are."

He waited for some passersby to get out of earshot. "I look forward to it."

"I already asked Ani to join me for dinner."

They were quite for a few moments then Senar spoke up.

"Why don't the three of us have dinner together? That way Ani doesn't feel insulted and she can examine us together."

Senar blushed slightly, knowing that she had just admitted to wanting more with Rishi. She quickly regained her composure.

"What do you think?"

"Perhaps, we should have it here at the palace. I can arrange for me to be the sole chef to serve, which will allow for me to join you at the table as well, not to mention far more variety of foods from which to choose.

Name the time and I will have everything ready."/

"We shall dine at 7 in my private quarters. That gives you two hours to gather what you need."

She looked around to ensure they were alone. She quickly kissed Rishi.

"I will see you then."

"Dinner shall be ready at seven then, Lady Senar," he said, once again the professional in the public eye.

"I will ensure that it is to your satisfaction personally." He snuck a quick wink, and headed to the kitchens to prepare.

"That is up to Lady Senar. Which is who I am taking you to see right now. Though with the departing of one of our high ranking security officials, I'm sure it won't be a traffic cop."

He led the new man into the Palace, and through to Senar's office.

"This is as far as I take you. The rest is now up to you. I only say this to you. Just be yourself. She judges you for who you are, nothing else. Good Luck."

Kaz grinned, and walked out of Senar's office. He had some sentries to check in with.

"The fool who said 'patience is a virture' obviously had nothing to do." Tyco says under his breath.

"Sorry to keep you waiting. Sometimes it can't be prevented. I have sent for you to take over our internal security. You would be in charge of the regular security forces, the royal forces are under Kaz, who you just met. You came highly recommended and I am trusting that you will live up to your reputation. Do you have any questions or should I show you to your troops?"

"Gid, if you don’t mind and if I have enough time I would like to attend some of your 'nature' classes. During our trip I realized just how little I know about our natural habitat, I’ve spent to long in space. If I’d been there alone poor Isis might not still be alive, it would never have occurred to me that she was anything other than a wild, man-eating beast who just saw me as an easy meal!.

When do you plan to begin building the cabin, you know I would like some say in the general construction!"

Before he had a chance to reply their meal arrived.
Rowan looked at the lobster her mouth watering with anticipation. She broke off one large claw and began to suck the tender meat from inside. She sighed with pleasure.

"It’s melt in the mouth delicious, I can see us becoming regular patrons at this establishment"

His smile became a smirk, however, when he thought about adding her to the class roster. "And the normal age for my classes would be 6. For some reason, I don't think you'd exactly fit in."

His smirk turned into a grin. "However, if you would like to volunteer to be an assistant to the instructor, I'm sure he wouldn't mind that."

He winked across the table to her, letting her know it was okay, before he changed the subject. "As per the cabin..."

He drew out a flexi, one that had the very basics of an outline for what he thought she'd want. "That is one thing we can work on while we finish these, then dessert, then...well, how about a stroll over to the gardens?"

"Volunteer to be a teachers assistant, now that’s not a bad idea, I’m sure I could assist you with many things Gid"

She reached across the table and took the flexi from him, and placed it on the table, she studied it carefully and smiled.

"You seem to have thought of everything, as usual! I’m assuming that the front of the cabin will overlook the lake? The children will adore it.."

she hesitated

"Senar’s children I mean and of course ours when ..."

She laughed

"I think I’ll stick to eating and leave the talking to you tonight! That means you definitely have to order dessert!"

She looked up at him, her eyes sparkling with mischief

"Do you think you’ll be safe with me, all alone in the gardens?"

He impulsively took her hand. "After all, I want this to be our legacy...to our children."

He grinned at another comment she made. "I just hope I can remember, in those classes, what it is I'm supposed to be teaching them. And I don't want to take away from your work, it's very valuable, but it would let us spend more time...together."

And he remembered the garden comment. "And I'm sure there would be others in the gardens."

His smile betrayed the mischief he felt. "We may have to play a bit of hide-and-seek, but I think we'll be okay...we just have to remember it's a bit less than a month."

"I'm glad that you decided to ask my opinion first. I’d like to hear what ideas you have."

When he took her hand in his she smiled

"I’m sure you’ll have no trouble remembering, I promise I’ll assist you quietly and only when my work allows, I don’t think Senar would be too happy if I didn’t give 100% to my job"

She laughed at the hide and seek comment

"You know Gid, I may have only known you for a short time, but I cannot imagine my life without you. You make me laugh, sometimes you make me angry, but most of all you make me feel incredibly happy! Now my love, what about dessert."

He smiled a little. "And, while you're there, that class will hold a lot more for me than just passing along knowledge. What time you do spend there, I think, will be more for the two of us than those children."

He kissed her hand. "I can't imagine my life without you either, my darling. And, I find, I don't even want to try."

He let go of her hand after a moment when the waiter came back. "Now, for dessert..."

He looked at her, winking, as he talked to the waiter. "Profiteroles, chocolate covered, with fresh chocolate, please, and cream for the top."

"I have no questions, for now. Please lead the way."

"You have something for me Commander? Or do you just like to look important?"

He let a grin wash over his face, "Well I do like to look important, but this isn't the case this time. A message came over the com traffic. There has still been no replacement named for Aurora. Construction is still going very slowly I'm told."

Ivanova let a slight frown appear over her face, "I want to get to work on these ships. The fleet needs them."

Lennier nodded, "Yes, and soon. I hear through the grapevine that there are some interested parties in this planet. You never know who is going to show up on our doorstep." He gave a wary smile, and then walked off to overlook the helmsman.

Ivanova steepled her hands together and took a deep breath. "Whoever it is, I want to be ready for them."

"Yes?"

His secretary voiced out in a soft soprano, "Captain Sheridan, there is a man named Zidler here to see you. Says he has a proposal that he wants to bring to you."

Sheridan put his pen down, and sat back in his chair, "Sure, I could use a distraction, send him in."

There was a brief moment, and in walked a very large man, with fiery red hair, "Captain Sheridan, a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am called Zidler, and I have a proposal for you, that you will not be able to refuse."

Sheridan rubbed his chin, and then leaned on his hand, "We'll see about that. What have you got for me?"

Zidler broke into an almost devilish grin, "My good sir. Before I came to you, I was nothing but a mere cook. A cook thrown out onto the street with nothing to his name. But I have this brilliant plan for an entertainment complex that will turn this planet inside out!"

Sheridan sat upright in his chair, and nodded his head, "We could certainly use a distraction from our everyday lives. What kind of entertainment complex were you thinking of?"

Zidler pulled out a mini-holo, and sat it on the desk. A building with a windmill adorning it came to life, "This is a place that was on Ancient Earth. Old Earth Calendar 1900. They called it the 'Moulin Rouge'. People of High Class society, came and slummed it up with the penniless and the nobodies. Where they came to live out their fantasies for one night, and then leave the next morning. It was 'the' place to be of it's time. And I wish to build one here in the city."

Sheridan pondered this for a moment, "You mean to tell me that you want me push financing for a cathouse?"

Zidler looked shocked, "My Good Man, this is not a cathouse. People came here to dance, be entertained, have fun! Sure we'll have some very beautiful ladies. But it is not a cathouse sir."

Sheridan put up a hand in surrender, "Forgive me, it was a poor choice of words."

Zidler continued, "I have also acquired the rights to one of the most beautiful entertainers of the galaxy." He clicked the holo, and the image of a very attractive woman came into view, "Her name is Alanna. And she is the best there is. She would draw many to the place. Even attract some outside commerce, if they know that she is here."

Sheridan rubbed his chin again, "We have been wanting to expand the lines more. And the population does need a place where they can go just to be silly." He thought for a moment, and then looked up at Zidler, "All right, it has my approval, but I have to confer with Senar on this. She has the final say in all of this."

Zidler was esctatic, "Thank you Captain Sheridan. I know you will not be disappointed. And I am sure you will enjoy yourself as well."

Sheridan grinned, "Well we'll see about that. We got to have full approval first. I will talk to Senar soon on this security issue, and I will bring it up then. I will keep you informed."

Zidler got up to leave, and nodded to Sheridan. "Everything's Going So Well!", He said as he walked out the door.

Sheridan sat back in his chair, and let out a sigh, "What am I getting myself into?" He pushed the intercom button, "Miss Warren, get me an appointment with Senar."

"Very well then, please follow me."

They left the palace and walked to security headquarters.

"This will be your office. I am sure one of the men will show you around. XT should return soon. He will be of much help to you. Contact me if you have any problems."

Senar left Tyco to make himself comfortable. She returned to the palace to join Rishi and Ani for dinner.

"Mr. XT please come to my office. No rush."

Tyco picked up some flexies, security reports, and started to read in wait for XT.

As he returned to Heliopolis, he wondered who this Kaz character was. His old friend, Ivan, had perished in a shuttle explosion as he was out on patrol. He finished his mission, as Ivan would have wanted.

He wondered what would become of the security forces. No doubt, someone had already stepped in and taken over. Well, he would have to see to it whoever it was understood that Ivan and he had built them up. Whoever it was could do as they wished, but, if they changed it much, he would have to resign.

As he landed, he began to sing a diddy he'd heard once, and Sokar Concolar, out of Nefretiri by Thebes, left to try and find out what was going on with his forces.

"Profiteroles, they have to be one of my all time favourite desserts!"

while they waited for dessert to arrive she turned her attention back to the plans for the cabin

"It's a little bigger than I was expecting, are you expecting a lot of visitors?"

He activated the secondary image, and an overlay of his floorplan popped up. He saw Rowan scowl a bit at it. "What's wrong?"

He tapped lightly on her door, and was admitted inside.

"Terribly sorry if I've kept you waiting," he said, wheeling the cart in, and beginning to set everythign out on the table.

"I do believe however, you may find it was worth the wait."

"Ah I see, you only wanted my opinion on the outside of the cabin, not the inside as you seem to have it already mapped out. You appear to have catered for all our potential guests needs. I was under the impression that the primary function of 'our' cabin was to get away from it all, a place to bring the children, our children. I was obviously mistaken, it seems that you are building a 'Guest House'. Well Gid I hope that you can find someone willing to help you run it"

She stood up just as dessert arrived

"Unfortunately I have lost my appetite, I hope that you will enjoy your dessert"

He was honestly very confused at her reaction. He picked up one of the profiteroles. "Here, just take a bite and sit down."

She took the confection from Gids hands and took a small bite. She sighed softly as the chocolate melted in her mouth

"well maybe just one more"

He picked up one of the pastires. "And, I'll bet, by the time we finish these, we'll get everything worked out to our satisfaction."

"There's nothing I don't like particularly, it's just that you seem to have worked all of this out without me. Oh I know it can be altered, rearranged. I just wanted the cabin to be 'our' project from start to finish, and I just got the feeling that you .."

She looked down at her plate, not wanting to meet his eys

"I'm not used to people doing things for me Gid. I think that it's going to take a bit of getting used to. I'm sorry I over-reacted. It wasn't my intention to spoil our evening"

She picked up the flexi and smiled

"Don't you think it's a little, well functional. It needs some style, some pizzazz don't you think?."

"It smells divine. It will just be us grown-ups tonight. What do you have for dinner?"

"I have to be able to do something."

She had been putting off making her official visit too the other hospitals on the planet.

"Might as well get it over while I still can."

She recalled how mean she was to Kaz.

"I guess I can make his life a little easier by telling him where I will be going."

She sent a small message to Kaz telling what her plans were.

"And I guess I can a gaurd to come along, as long as he doesn't mind working. Nut out."

"I thought it best to have a wide variety. So, to start off, there's a tomato orzo noodle soup. Then, theres a nice garden salad, showcasing what produce we brought along,as well as some of this planet's native delicacies, in a raspberry vinaigrette dressing."

Rishi paused to set out bowls onto the place settings.

"The main course is chicken rigatoni con parmegione, with a garlic cheese toast on the side. And to end, I whipped up a trifle known as "Death by Chocolate", no harm intended of course. Just the name, however unfortunate." he winked.

"And assuming this is all to your liking, I had a nice bottle of white wine brought up to have with the meal."

Rishi gestured to the table.

"All is prepared. Please, come and enjoy."

"Looks like you worked so hard. Unfortuntly Ani isn't here yet. It would be awfully rude to start without her, don't you think?"

Senar turned and layed out on the couch.

"What shall we do to fill the time?"

He smirked a little at that last statement. "I think the whole thing will be one grand adventure, one that both of us will have a lot of getting used to things in and a lot of growing in."

At her statement of form-vs-functionality, he had to wonder. "It's supposed to be functional. It's not going to be our permanent home, just our vacation home. It's that what vacation homes are about. functionality?"

"Well, perhaps we could have an appetizer of sorts while we wait," he said cracking open the bottle of wine. "It is a rather large bottle after all."

he deftly poured two glasses of the wine, and brought one over to Senar. "Anything you wish to toast to, Senar?"

"Lets toast to the sucess of the pride. What ever comes, we shall be prepared for it."

He rubbed his chin, and stood up from his desk, leaving a message for his men, that he would be escorting Nut personally.

He strode out the door, making sure to grab his fighting pike on the way out. Leisurely he made his way to the hospital, and stood in the doorway to Nut's office, "I hear you're looking for an escort?"

Rommie

"And may we have many more toasts like this one," he added as an afterthought.

"Well I don't know what is holding Ani up. I suppose we should start without her."

Senar smiled sweetly. She was impressed with Rishi's restraint. It was an admirable quality that made him that much more attractive.

"Yes, but what are you doing here? Don't tell me you are my escort! I would think you have better things to do then go off inspecting hospitals."

He leaned over to check the fuel in the cart heaters.

"Another five minutes and we shall have to start though. Otherwise the food will start to go cold."

As they left, Sokar smiled. "Someone finally got them to accept guards."

He headed towards the high-class apartments and his abode. As he reached there, he keyed in for a person-to-person message. "To whomever is currently in charge of the guards, my name is Sokar Concolar. I would ask to meet with you."

"Ok, her time is up. She will just have to deal with us starting before her."

X-T nodded slightly to Filia "I'm sure we'll be able to plan a program which will meet everyone's needs. I will leave you this flexi which details the program I have initiaited for the young men. Please let me know whien you are both available to discuss things further. Have a good evening." He bowed slightly to Filia as he took his leave.

As he walked back toward the exit from the building to return to his quarters. His wrist comp signaled an incoming message. Checking it he found that the new chief of security had arrived and wished to speak with him. He wondered what this meeting would bring. He could easily see adding a more formal security component training module to his program with the young men. He began to outline the module in his head as he walked toward the security chief's office.Best to be prepared when meeting a new co-worker.

She tried to be professional, but it wasn't easy with Rishi so near.

"Not again," *beep* "Cardones, Go!"

"Sir, Sokar has been asking to see who is in charge of the guards. He's left word a couple times. What should I tell him?"

Kaz looked up and into Nut's emerald eyes, "Tell him I'm taking care of Lady Nut during her Hospital tours. Have the new guy Tyco take care of it. No time like the present to get him started on the job. I am occupied. Cardones out!"

He dropped his hand and tilted his head, "Who better than the head of Royal Security to escort you on such an important tour of our hospitals?" He let a slight grin appear on his face.

"Well I told you if you came you would work. You can start by helping me take these supplies to the hanger."

Nut grabbed a bin and started out of the hospital.

"Then we have a lower number of females among the elite here than would seem necessary to the rapid initiation of, I do so hate to use thsi term but nothing else comes to mind, a program to continue the breeding of the next generation. You and I and RR have given us a start, but it's almost time for our young women to do their part. Not only are they few in number, but the ones we have, or had, she thought of Aurora here "seem disinclined to perform this role."

"I know whereof I speak. I am a Matriarh, if I may use the term loosely, two times over at too young and age in traditional terms because no woman of appropriate age and lineage was available. Perpetrating the breeding program that produced this circumstance, especially in prides whose very existence is threatened can only be seen as great folly in my opinion."

Ani looked Senar directly in the eye when she finished, what the younger woman thought of her concerns was of great importance to Ani. How Senar delt with this and other reproductive and population issues had the potential to make or break her as a ruler. Only time would tell, and time was a main concern in Ani's mind. Would they have the time they needed to build up their strength before they encountered the more combative prides of their race once again?

"Ahh, you must be X-T."

Tyco stood up as not to disrespect his new colleague.

"I am Tyco the new head of internal security. Unfortunatly at the moment I am a little less than informed of the layout, systems and objectives, ect. And Senar told me that you could be of some help. At your convinience I would like to ask you some questions and for you to show me around. It will be greatly appreaciated."

At that moment Tyco heard a beeping coming the office comm. screen.

"Excuse me a moment X-T."

Tyco turned to the comm. screen, there was a message from Sokar (a name unfamiliar to him, but so were all of his co worker's names) asking for a personal meeting. Tyco turned to X-T.

"I am sorry, but I will have to post pone my questions, i will contact you when I have some free time..... Once again I am sorry to have brought you down here for nothing. You are exused. "

Tyco turned to the comm. screen, found Sokar's comm channel and started to speak.

"Mr. Sokar I am sorry for the late response, where would you like to meet?"

"I agree with you totally. However, talking about the problem isn't a solution. How do we actually implement ways of improved breeding?"

"Work is no problem My Lady. I was raised doing work. Name it, and it is done."

They walked along for a ways, and they were just about to approach the hangar.

"So where is our first destination, if I may ask?"

Rommie

"We start in Philae. Is just on the other side of those mountains. We drop off the supplies, make the inspection and go on from there. Four hours tops."

He followed Nut back, to get the rest of the supplies, "A working vacation, is still a vacation."

Rommie

"Whether its our permanent home or not, I require a little more than mere functionality. You know, you can have function with style. You said that you were intending to take some of your students there to learn more about nature, that’s all well and good, but when the class is over do you expect them all to retire to a barracks style dormitory, consisting of nothing more than row upon row of uniform bunks?"

She shook her head and smiled

"And what of our other guests, don’t you think they would appreciate a few home comforts too. I propose a compromise, the first of many I think! You concentrate on practicality and function, leave the finishing touches to me, what do you say?"

He looked at the design again. "If you wish to add...home comforts...that is fine. Just not too much."

Sokar picked up the message from Tyco. "You are the one now in charge of security?"

He studied him briefly. He'd have to know his music tastes better. "Well, let us meet...in the gardens...in 1/2 hour."

"Not too much!! you have yourself a deal. Now how about that walk in the gardens you promised me"

He stood, bowing slightly, and, with a mischievous grin, extended an arm. "I believe the gardens await our call, my lady."[i]

Senar sat in her office. Nut was going on hospital inspections and stopped to tell Senar so.

"Kaz is escorting me. Can that man be any more arrogant?"

Senar laughed.

"I think he is charming. You just don't like having a gaurd. You will get used to him."

Nut sighed.

"You're probably right. In any event, I should go if we are to make it to Philae at any descent time."

Nut left Senar to her thoughts. Ani made some good points to Senar, but they had yet to come up with any practical implementations of those ideas. Senar sighed.

"I'll leave that to Ani to think on."

Nut left the Palace and went to meet Kaz in the hanger.

"Ok flyboy, lets get this thing started."

Tyco was curious of what this meeting was going to be about. So far he had not cared for the looks he was getting from the others. Looks of judgment, suspicion, but they had every right to be suspicious of a newcomer that is hired into a position of such power and responsibility. Tyco doubted his abilities to handle a job of this magnatude. The thought past and Tyco headed out of his office to find the gardens, where ever the were.

"X-T stopped by my office yesterday and gave me some details on a military program. I think we need to look over some of these ideas and decide exactly where we want to add our own input in this area of education. And of course other areas. If you don't mind me suggesting, I think that maybe you and I should split the task, you take one feild and I'll take the other and then we'll meet reguarly and compare notes and ideas.

What are your ideas?"

"We should split into areas of the pride. As you may not be well recived in other parts of the pride, I suggest you take the city and all human schools, I will cover the rest of the pride. I suggest that we do a basic inspection of the schools and meet back here in a week with proposals."

Roberts waited for the lady's response.

He looked around again. Nobody else was in sight, so he began to hum a tune he'd heard once.

He keyed up the thrusters, and brought the ship off the ground. Retracting the landing struts, he pulled the flyer out of the hangar, and on towards their destination.

"So, My Lady, what shall you be doing on your trips to the hospitals? Inspection of the facilities, things like that?"

Rommie

"The problem with my food," [i]he said, patting his own stomach, "Is that I eat far too much of it sometimes."

"They certainly are beautiful. Are they not?" said Tyco

"You're the boss my friend. Sounds like a plan. I'll be sure to have those reports for you in a week . I look forward to working with you on these matters." She smiled and left the office, deciding to take a well deserved break.

She sent a message to Sheridan.

"It's been awhile since we've had dinner. How does later tonight sound?"

He looked back at Tyco. "I believe you and I have something else entirely to discuss."

Ani also expected a several secondary benefits from this arrangement. The model would provide for additional employment opportunities fro young human women. In addition, she hoped that the relationships which developed between the mothers and their human helpers would further the building of a respect for the human members of the community that Senar wanted to continuing fostering.

"Time to go out and meet with the people."

Senar grabbed a light jacket and left the palace, with a gaurd, for the streets.

"You are quiet a good pilot. When did you start flying?"

"As I have not come to discuss flowers, as beautiful they are. Horticulture is not paticularly of any interest to me."

Tyco turned towards Sokar

"Please tell me, what is on your mind?"

"Would love to have dinner, but will be in meetings. Will have to reschedule. Will message you soon.

Sheridan

He grabbed his jacket, and the folder that Zidler had left him, and headed out his door towards Senar's office.

He was halfway to the palace, when he saw her on the streets, walking around with one of her guards.

"Oh Miss Senar, may I have a word or two with you. I've got this proposition, that you are not going to believe."

Kaz checked the status on the engines, and the power supplies, and then looked ahead again.

"I've been flying since I was little. Dad used to take me up on his patrols, and though it was against the regs, he let me take the controls sometimes. When I was old enough, I went in for formal training. They said I was a natural. Little did they know that I had been flying beforehand."

He looked back at Nut, as they came over a clearing, "How about you? Do you fly?"

He looked to the side for a moment, thinking someone may be listening. It didn't matter, really, since what he had to say wasn't that classified. "Since Ivan is no longer around, I wanted to know what your plans for the security forces were."

Tyco noticed that Sokar did not look too pleased with his ingnorance, but so far it was not Tyco's fault that in the hour and a half he had been on this planet no one had given him any information. Or had time to.

"As soon as all the details are filled in, I will make plans accordingly to the strengths and weaknesses of the security force, if there are any."

Or did it? Perhaps Tyco was, in fact, trying to undermine Sokar's authority. He didn't know, but he knew of one sure way to find out, one way to discover everything he needed to know about this person, and in one easy step. "Tell me, what kind of music do you prefer?"

"Of course. What is the idea?"

Sheridan filled her in about the idea of an entertainment club.

"You've got to be kidding me. Oh, you are serious. Very well, tell me why I should allow this."

Rather than let her fall, he scooped her up until he could slow enough to set her on her feet.

"In the future please learn to watch where you're going..." he stopped himself. He wouldn't try to blame someone for his own lack of attention.

"Pardon me, Ms. Sensanev," he said, recognizing the face, "Old habits die hard. Excuse my unexpected collision. What brings you to this section of the city on a day such as this?"

"Yes I can fly. I insited that all medical personel learn to as it can save lives. I rather enjoy slipstreaming, but I don't get to do it to do it too often. Most of my work in on the surface."

They approached the small hospital.

"Land over there. Sooner we get this finished the better."

He looked over the files himself again, and chuckled, "You know, I might even be enticed to go to this place. And if he can get this Alanna, like he says he can, then it will bring in people from around the quadrant. Talent like hers is hard to come by."

He looked up from his files, and into her eyes, "Unless you want more Perseid Stand-Up Comedy. I for one am pretty sick of it."

Kaz brought the flyer in on approach vector, and fired the retrothrusters, landing the craft ever so carefully on the ground.

"All right, I know you don't want to be fussed over, so we'll do this your way. The hospital should be pretty secure, so I'll do a sweep while we do the tour. But if anything happens, I will conduct security sweeps on each subsequent stop after this. Do we have an agreement?"

He went and began to unstrap the cargo, awaiting her response.

"Very well. We can give it a trail. However, I shall be appointing someone to watch over the activites. I don't need any unseemingly behavior from the human population."

They walked together on the streets of the northern shops and markets. Senar stopped at an empty building.

"What about here? This place was built to be another resturant, but the woman who runs it decided to be placed near the gardens instead. Would this do to hold your club?"

"Although I am not formally trained in the musical arts, nor am I a distinguished music lover as you seem to be as only a music lover would ask such a question in such a short period of meeting someone... But I do enjoy music from a period known as the classical period on ancient earth. I am paticularly fond of Shostacovitch and other composers from the area that humans call Russia."

"This will be plenty of room for the main doors, garden, and then the main building. I tell you, for a former cook, this guy certainly has a vision. I think this will do quite nicely. I will call him to my office, and give him the go ahead. And inform him of the supervisor."

He put away his flexis, and tucked the folder underneath his arm, "This is going to be big. I can feel it."
