This just in. After many futile attempts to throw us off their worlds, the Pyrians have decided to make some money on us. From now on, the Diggers have to obtain a license to mine on Pyrian planets and pay a small export tax. In exchange, the Pyrian government promised not to harass our ventures any longer and provide safe passage to and from their worlds. The resulting cut of costs in security and insurance will more than cover the Pyrian Tax. As a side-effect of this treaty, we can now allow ethnic Pyrians into our ranks, which will help us grow even further.

And I guess you weren't here for our inception. All Diggers receive their own Tacomach 5000 - the latest in mining technology. It is a fully automated and self-contained platform that combines superior weaponry and armour, excavation and processing equipment, and also houses a geolab. Ziana, if you have time, could you please add the previous paragraph to the Diggers' page? |
