UK/ROI - The Tunnel at the End of the Light Discussion - Spoilers Palin Nietzschean So, we've come to the S2 finale and who knows when we'll get to see the S3 premiere over here. *sighs* Hope it's a good one tonight. Aurelius Vedran ^^^ Knowing Sky, this time next year Hail All Aurelius Anonymous Unregistered AHHHH - sometimes I could quite happily do something really mean to my kids - I set up the VCR in readiness, then at 9.00pm settled down with the GOM to watch the finale and .......... the dear little darlings had changed the satellite channel still I have already seen Laura_Bertram_lover Human Not to fear Raeven, it's repeated on saturday at 1:00pm (or at least it has been for the past 8 weeks or so). Craig ArchAngel Nietzschean Well I will be the bearer of good news then Sky1 will be airing Season 3 of Andromeda on . . . . . . . . . . . . . wait for it....... . . . . . . . . . . . . Monday 30th September at 8pm!!!!! Godeskian Nietzschean No Way!, and Godeskian means NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!! They are giving Andromeda to us at the same time as the rest of the world?????? this has got to be a mistake you have just made my solar year ArchAngel Nietzschean Well, I think the US/Canada are getting it the week of the 30th, so we may actually get to see it before them. But on the down side, I expect it to only last no more than half the season, as Sky tends to stop it in odd places. But lets enjoy it while we can Palin Nietzschean ^^^ Thank you AA for this wonderful, wonderful news!!! To be honest, waiting to find out when Sky would show S3 was a bigger cliffhanger than the episode, and when the announcer at the end said "very soon" I was saying "Noooo, don't leave it like that! Tell us what's going to happen!" I'm just so excited that we're back on track, as watching Drom and SS are so much more fun when we're seeing episodes at the same time. We can start our traditional countdown AA! For the record, I did enjoy the episode all in all, although I can't see myself watching it many times. Rayhana Artificial Intelligence So, what did ya think of the ep? Godeskian Nietzschean oh right, the ep okay, the bad -the enemies? tunnelers? some strang race that for no apparent reason just decides to start killing things? huh? - Tyr smiling. what's up with that, i think i can count on the fingers of one hand how many times i've seen him genuinly smile (as opposed to smirk) and it felt very odd for him to do it several times - The dead perseid, damn she was annoying, and yes i can see her as a schoolteacher, i've had teachers like that. the good - yay, new commonwealth, and Harper the magician, he was so funny - Best lines to Beka and Tyr Dylan: We've seen that before Beka: Or not seen it before. Sorry! B eskjob, orbital pilot, prisongaurd T: What are you doing? B: Reviewing all the jobs i could do where i'm not putting my ass on the line every day T(smiling ) and yet here you are and T: We have weathered greater odds and emerged stronger, we will again. Gotta love Tyr's confidance - Trance finally fessing up, and her despair turning to sheer elation that she 'could' make a difference, almost like she needed convincing. The great -Just how much did Tyr Rock in this episode, he seemed so happy to be finally testing his will against the universe again, - Harper standing up to Zhukov, you go boy - Zhukov, never fought a superior opponent indeed the odd - Did anyone else see Zhukov tugging the lady in red by the front of her dress, witha finger, very far down in one of the group shots at the beginning? - That last shot was a little confusing, i guess it was Dylan looking through a rip in the Maru's hull, but it could just as easily be a collapsed doorway and what he's seeing that horrifies him so is Beka and Tyr doing the adrenaline fueled horizontal mambo i really, really, really can't wait untill the next season Anonymous Unregistered quote: Originally posted by Laura_Bertram_lover: Not to fear Raeven, it's repeated on saturday at 1:00pm (or at least it has been for the past 8 weeks or so). Craig Thank you thank you thank you John Perseid quote: Originally posted by Godeskian: the bad - The dead Perseid, damn she was annoying, and yes i can see her as a schoolteacher, i've had teachers like that. [b] I actually liked the Perseid, she was funny, even if a bit too obsessive compulsive and twitchy. Her 'Ohhh's and 'Ahh's made Harper's tricks much more fun to watch, especially when she saw the three eyed guy disappear. [b] quote: the good - Zhukov, never fought a superior opponent indeed [B] Yeah, and his 'whack a mole' comment, followed by Dylan's confused reactions. And that line causes all kinds of strange mental images of huge space moles being whacked by Andromeda [b] quote: the odd - Did anyone else see Zhukov tugging the lady in red by the front of her dress, witha finger, very far down in one of the group shots at the beginning? - That last shot was a little confusing, i guess it was Dylan looking through a rip in the Maru's hull, but it could just as easily be a collapsed doorway and what he's seeing that horrifies him so is Beka and Tyr doing the adrenaline fueled horizontal mambo i really, really, really can't wait until the next season The thing that bothered me about Zhukov's friend was her species and origin. She was Inari, right? well, if I were Dylan I would think twice about letting drug smugglers join the commonwealth. For starters, it doesn't look good and then there is the whole pesky problem of the whole gov. being corrupt and involved in making Pyrians addicts. I'm quite sure though, that Beka and Tyr were not dong the vertical mambo. I think Dylan's face wouldn't have said (at least to me) 'Oh god, what have I done' if that were the case. I admit, I'm not quite sure what happened to the Maru, but I'll guess we'll find out. Something else I liked were the new CGI shots. The shot starting off beneath the AA swinging all the way up above the battle blades while the enemy ships were firing was simply grand, as were the shots of the Maru firing Rosie and the Maru returning to the hangar deck, bursting into flames. And the episode had what must be the most chilling line of the whole show. Beka screaming in agony and then yelling 'Tyr'. It was just creepy! Oh, and ArchAngel, you should post that news about when Andromeda starts in GenDisc, I'm sure not everyone comes here. I would do it, but it's stealing your big news! Only 41 more days till season 3! Yay! I'm happy even if Shy needs to stop the broadcast after 8-10 episodes. It's a shame we can't get the Stargate treatment though, although it may have something to do with the fact that the episodes wouldn't be ready in time to air, since the post production date is geared towards the US premiere dates and not the months earlier UK ones. Godeskian Nietzschean quote: I'm quite sure though, that Beka and Tyr were not dong the vertical mambo. I think Dylan's face wouldn't have said (at least to me) 'Oh god, what have I done' if that were the case. heh, just a thought i suppose, and since he did allow Tyr to go along with Beka he may hasve been thinking "should have kept him at fire control where the only thing he was firing was missiles" that would horrify me quote: And the episode had what must be the most chilling line of the whole show. Beka screaming in agony and then yelling 'Tyr'. It was just creepy! yes, and yet, i can't imaigne where else Tyr would be when Beka may be in pain and dyiing, then by her side. John Perseid quote: Originally posted by Godeskian: yes, and yet, i can't imaigne where else Tyr would be when Beka may be in pain and dyiing, then by her side. Fighting against a Tunneler for his life possibly? We never saw the Tunnler that boarded die, did we? So Tyr may have been fighting him till, whatever happend to them happened to them. But being near Beka while she dies is something I can see Tyr doing, not just with Beka but also with Freya and his son, I guess generally people he cares about and where he pretty much openly shows it (kinda narrows down the list, eh? ) Only 37 days, 2 hours, 20 minutes and 0 seconds till 'If The Weel If Fixed'!
