Sorbo To Star In 'Clipping Adam'

Kevin Sorbo is to swop his High Guard Uniform for a cassock in his next big-screen role.
Sorbo will star in 'Clipping Adam,' an independent movie described as a coming of age drama, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The Andromeda actor and executive producer will play Father Dan, a free-thinking priest. In the movie he helps a young boy some to terms with the deaths of his mother and sister.
Another face familiar to science fiction fans will be involved in the project - Louise Fletcher, who played Kai Winn in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine has been cast. 'Mulholland Falls' and 'Jackie Bouvier Kennedy Onassis' actor Andrew McCarthy will also star, along with newcomer Evan Peters as the young boy.

So, first, where would one see an independent film, so I can check this out when completed? Second, the full report states Kevin also is doing 4 eps in s continuing story arc for Darham and Greg. He is busy.

Well, "independent film" is a pretty broad term. What it really means is that none of the big production companies is behind it right now, but if it's a good film, it could be picked up for regular distribution (although probably on less screens than a big blockbuster). Otherwise, keep an eye out for your local film fest or review theatre.

That "Dharma and Greg" is past tense - it aired in Feb. & May 2001. The show was cancelled after the 2002 season.
Rhys pretty much explained "independent." Hope it's a good script. At least it's a chance to do something on the big screen besides action-adventure, which I, for one, have been hoping for.

Thanks Themis I did wonder about the Darhma and Greg thing. I thought my sister-in-law told me it was cancelled, but I wasn't sure. Then when they added that blib about it in this report I started wondering. The way they threw it in it sounded recent, like the film.

Yeah it does sound interesting. I just hope I actually get to see it. I guess I will have to wait to hear more about when its released, who picks it up etc.

Hey, does anyone know when they filmed this? I mean the Hollywood Reporter gave the impression that Kevin would be staring in this film as if it hadn't started filming, but Andi's link indicates they have filmed it. Just curious. Perhaps this is what Kevin did over his break (I don't know how long independent films take to film, I always thought it waS less time than features)
