UK Premiere Date Announced
      2000/08/30 07:50 PM

As revealed by Robert Hewitt Wolfe in the recent Space.com chat, 'Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda' will be premiering in England in the second week of October on BSkyB. In order to find out more exact info, Lena Bem at the Totally Un-Official Brent Stait Homepage called Sky to ask when the series will debut, and they told her it will indeed be premiering in England just a few days after the American premiere.

On Monday the 9th of October, the first Andromeda episode, 'Under The Night', will be airing on Sky One, at 8:00pm. Besides the weekly Monday showings, each week's episode will also be repeated on Thursdays at 10:00pm.

Monday 8:00pm is in fact a very good timeslot for a sci-fi series such as 'Andromeda' to be in. Currently the timeslot is occupied by 'Star Trek: Voyager', which managed to attract a fairly large sci-fi audience and consistently placed with Sky's top-rated programs. Andromeda will be premiering the week after Sky One airs 'Unimatrix Zero, Part One', last year's Voyager season finale.

Thanks go out to Lena Bem and Shaun Aki for this!
